A free image compliance platform that helps you meet exact file-size, dimension and format requirements — without uploading a single photo.
FitToKB exists to fix one small but maddening problem: you have a photo, a form demands it be “under 50 KB, exactly 200×230 px, JPG only”, and every tool you try either overshoots the size, distorts the dimensions, or hides the answer behind a paywall.
What we believe
- It should be free. No signup, no account, no subscription, no watermark, no premium tier. Every feature is available to everyone.
- Your images are yours. Compression, resizing and HEIC conversion run entirely in your browser. Nothing is uploaded, stored or tracked.
- Compliance should be provable. We don’t just shrink files — we show a pass/fail check against the exact requirement so you’re never guessing.
How the tool works
FitToKB decodes your image with the browser’s Canvas API, then runs a binary search on the encoder quality (and downsizes the image only if needed) to land as close to your target size as possible without exceeding it. Apple HEIC/HEIF photos are transcoded in-browser with a WebAssembly decoder. Because all of this happens on your device, the tool works offline once loaded and keeps your photos completely private.
Accuracy & corrections
We research photo and document specifications from official sources, but rules change and forms vary. Always confirm against the authority you’re applying to. Spotted an out-of-date spec? We fix reported errors quickly — see our editorial policy.
