Editorial Policy

How we research, verify and maintain the specifications behind our presets and guides.

Last updated: 13 June 2026

The value of FitToKB depends on getting the numbers right — the exact KB limits, pixel dimensions and formats that forms demand. This policy explains how we keep them accurate.

How we source specifications

  • We prioritise official, primary sources: government passport/visa pages, examination-board notifications, and application-portal instructions.
  • Where official sources are ambiguous, we note the common accepted values and flag the uncertainty rather than inventing precision.
  • Every preset records the requirement it is built from so it can be re-checked.

Review & updates

  • Specifications are reviewed periodically and whenever a reader reports a change.
  • When a spec changes, we update the preset, the relevant guide and the page metadata together.
  • Guides carry a published and a last-reviewed date so you can judge freshness.

Accuracy disclaimer

Requirements vary by authority and change without notice. We provide specifications in good faith as guidance, but you should always confirm the final file against the official requirements of the organisation you are submitting to. See our Terms of Use.
