Privacy Policy

Your images never leave your device

FitToKB performs all image compression, resizing, format conversion and HEIC decoding entirely within your web browser using the Canvas API and client-side WebAssembly. Your files are never uploaded, transmitted, stored or seen by us or any third party. When you close the tab, any in-memory copy is gone.

What we collect

We aim to collect as little as possible:

• Your images / files: never collected. They stay on your device.
• Anonymous analytics: if (and only if) you consent, we use Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymisation to understand which tools are used most. We do not collect personal information and do not sell data.
• Local storage: we store your cookie-consent choice in your browser’s local storage so we don’t ask again. That value never leaves your device.

Cookies & consent

Analytics cookies load only after you click “Allow” on our banner. We use Google Consent Mode v2, which means analytics defaults to a denied, cookieless state until you opt in. You can decline with no loss of functionality — every tool works the same either way.

Third parties

• Hosting: the site is served as static files by our hosting provider (Netlify). Standard server logs (such as IP address) may be processed by the host for security and delivery; we do not use these for tracking.
• Google Analytics: used only with your consent, as described above.

Children’s privacy

FitToKB is a general-audience utility and does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children.
